The What and Why of #GivingTuesday

Giving Tuesday

Today is #GivingTuesday. Even though it launched in 2012, a lot of us are still asking, “What is #GivingTuesday?” This first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday… is a global movement with one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving. It’s a day for us to turn and look ahead to a season of giving.

In the spirit of the holidays, the average consumer is expected to spend over $950 this holiday season. Imagine if every every “like” on our Facebook page gave just 1% of that, $10, to a cause dear to their heart. Our humble group alone could raise over $4,000 in just #GivingTuesday.

Will you consider a #GivingTuesday gift of $10 to support a life of dignity and meaning for child or adult with developmental disabilities? No gift is too small and every dollar is making a difference.

Thank you in advance for taking a moment during this busy season to consider Goldie B. Floberg Center. I hope you will share this #GivingTuesday message with friends and family and help us make #GivingTuesday a global day of giving.

We hope you will Donate Online and share this message.
